Indulge in an extraordinary fishing experience by joining the second edition of the international tigerfish fishing competition from 09. – 13. of October 2024.
Organized by the NGABE tourist site in collaboration with the Department of Arts and Recreation Cultural Industry, the first edition on Bird Island in October 2023 saw remarkable catches, including a 37-kilo “Mbenga” tiger fish by the NGABE team and a 23-kilo catch by a French amateur. Don’t miss the chance to make this thrilling competition the highlight of your tour.

Important to know

In order to be allowed to visit the gorillas, good health is a prerequisite. Infectious diseases can be transmitted from humans to gorillas, thus may at cold or flu, the animals cannot be visited! For the walk on rough and steep paths a good physical condition is required. For this trip you need a yellow fever vaccination. You must present a yellow fever vaccination in the form of an international original vaccination certificate. A malaria prophylaxis is recommended. For the chimpanzee and gorilla trekking a basic level of fitness is required BUT you don’t have to be a mountain climber to trek the gorillas, anybody can do it.
